The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints
3 min read
Life in today’s world moves quickly. Many families understand this very well. Parents are busy with work, children are focused on school, exams, and activities, and mobile phones often take away the little time families have together
Sometimes everyone is at home but not truly spending time together.
Family Home Evening is a simple invitation to pause, gather as a family, and make time for what matters most.
For members of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, Monday evening is a special time set aside for families. Families come together to pray, learn about Jesus Christ, discuss gospel teachings, and strengthen relationships.
It does not need to be a perfect evening. Even a few minutes of sincere family time can invite greater peace and unity into the home.
“As for me and my house, we will serve the Lord.” — Joshua 24:15

A Special Family Home Evening Calendar for Our Stake
To help families make these moments more meaningful, the Rajahmundry India Stake Presidency has prepared a Family Home Evening Calendar based on General Conference messages.
General Conference is a worldwide gathering of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints where prophets, apostles, and Church leaders share messages about Jesus Christ, faith, family, and righteous living.
This calendar gives families one General Conference message to study each week. It helps families easily bring the words of living prophets into their homes.

Why Studying General Conference Messages Matters

Rajahmundry India Stake President Deepak Dabbeeru shared his desire and invitation for families:
“It is my sincere desire to see the members of our stake strengthened through diligent study of the words of the living prophets and General Authority Seventies given during general conference. As we consistently study and apply these teachings, we will be prepared for the months ahead. We will face challenges with faith and make righteous choices each day.
President Dallin H. Oaks has invited each of us to study and ponder these messages prayerfully and to act in faith on the principles they teach. The Lord has promised, “Unto him that receiveth I will give more.”
As we treasure and act upon the teachings of this conference, the Lord will continue to teach and inspire us through personal revelation and guidance.”
His invitation reminds us that General Conference messages are not just talks we listen to once. They are inspired teachings that can guide our families throughout the year.
When families study these messages together, parents and children have opportunities to talk about faith, choices, challenges, and following Jesus Christ.
What Is Come, Follow Me?

If you are learning about The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints for the first time, you may also hear about Come, Follow Me.
Come, Follow Me is a gospel study resource that helps individuals and families study the scriptures and teachings of Jesus Christ at home.
Many families use Come, Follow Me during their family study time. The Family Home Evening Calendar does not replace Come, Follow Me it simply provides another way to learn from the messages shared by living prophets and Church leaders.
Both resources have the same purpose: helping individuals and families come closer to Jesus Christ.
Small Efforts Bring Great Blessings
